In the morning, you will take a trip to the suburban town of Pushkin (ex-Czarskoye Selo) 16 miles south of St. Petersburg and tour the favorite residence of Empress Catherine the Great - Catherine Palace. Your journey will take about 1 hour each way. During this time you will pass through the residential and suburban areas of St. Petersburg and see apartment houses of the local citizenry. Upon arrival, you will enter Catherine Palace avoiding line-ups*. You will next stroll in the Gardens of Catherine Park. Your guide will take you around the picturesque area surrounding Catherine Palace. You will view the snow-white Cameron Gallery, The Grotto, and enjoy the idyllic views of the French regular park and mirror-like ponds.

In the afternoon, you will travel to Pavlovsk which is located just 2 miles away from Catherine's Palace. Pavlovsk Palace will add more impressions to your visit of Tsarskoye Selo. You will see the intimate and cozy palace of Emperor Paul who made Pavlovsk his family residence. Pavlovsk palace will fascinate you with the atmosphere of harmony, elegance, incredibly beautiful parquet floors, abundance of authentic family belongings saved during WWII, precious gobelens presented to Emperor Paul by the French King Louis XVI.
