Blindsay54: We spent a fascinating day with our guide Dimitri and driver Yuri exploring St. Petersburg. Dimitri's personal knowledge and insights were fascinating and we even visited briefly the area he was brought up in. His English was excellent and he took the time to answer our questions and explain the history behind what we saw. He took us on the underground and for lunch in a local cafe. Obviously we also had a tour of St Petersburg, visited the Hermitage and Catherine's Palace. His timing was excellent as we didn't need to queue and saw all exhibits easily. Thanks Dimitri!
Danny L: This was truly a superb tour of St Petersburg with an outstanding tour guide (Ada) and driver (Dimo)! We enjoyed the tours of Catherine's Palace, Peterhof Gardens, Hermitage, city tour and canal cruise. Ada was most professional. She guided us on a tour through the Catherine Palace and Hermitage exhibits according to our desires, although time allotted precluded us from seeing all that we wanted to see. It would have been nice to have had an extra hour at each of the beautiful palaces. We highly recommend Ada (tour guide) and Demo (driver). Ada shared a vast expertise of the Russian history and the history of St Petersburg, while Dimo showed a mastery of the layout of the short cuts in the city, maneuvering around and through the many police barriers set up, saving us valuable time to tour the sights. We were treated like royalty by our driver and tour guide. We highly recommend Guru and their tour support staff!
