Our Stockholm private tour covers the most famous sites and attractions. The tour is introductory but very comprehensive and mostly important -  highly personalized. If you would prefer to stay in Stockholm center longer, our guide will give you directions and public transport routes back to the cruise ship. On your tour the guide can show you public transport ticket sale kiosks, ATMs and currency exchange offices for convenience of further exploration on your own.

'Stockholm - from Vikings to the Royalty' (Sweden)

3 hours - by car/mini-van
9:00am-12:00pm

9:00am* - Pick-up at the cruise ship.

9:00am-12:00pm – take our comfortable car/mini-van into Stockholm. On your way your guide will tell you about Sweden and Stockholm. Your first stop will be Fjallgatan, where you will have a chance to take pictures of the beautiful West Bridge panorama. After Fjällgatan, you will continue through the beautiful island of Södermalm and cross the West Bridge, that offers a stunning view over the old town and the lake Mälaren, into the King´s Island (Kungsholmen). Södermalm is well known for being one of the most genuine, lively and authentic neighborhoods of Stockholm and for having hosted the famous Stig Larsson Millennium Trilogy.
In Kungsholmen, you will have time for a short photostop at the famous Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel Prize Dinner is held every year, one of the iconic buildings of the city.
You will next pass by such famous Stockholm landmarks as the Medieval Old Town of Gamla Stan (the historical centre and cradle of Stockholm), the Royal Palace (you may be lucky to see the changing of the guards), the Cathedral, Parliament House and more. You will go to the the Great Square (Stortorget) and hear the stories about the Bloodbath of Stockholm, the devastating fire of 1697 which destroyed the old castle Three Crowns (“Tre Kronor”) and the plague that tormented Stockholm in 1710. You will next continue driving along the waterside onto the green island of Djugarden. Here you'll visit the Vasa Museum, home to the magnificent warship 'Vasa', one of Sweden's number one attractions. It dates back to the 17th century and is the best preserved warship of its time. Leaving the 'Vasa', drive through the modern downtown and business areas before being dropped off in a central location for free time before your car/mini-van picks you up for the return drive to the cruise port.

12:00pm – return to the cruise ship or stay in the city center for further exploration.

* Tour time can be adjusted to your cruise ship's arrival time.
