1 day tour "Taste of Moscow" is a private tour exclusively designed for cruise passengers arriving to St.Petersburg for 3 days onboard the cruise ships Regatta, Azamara Journey or Seven Seas Voyager. No picture of Russia can be complete without seeing Moscow. You can have a unique opportunity to contrast and compare both capitals.

5.45am - meet your guide at the ship.

6.15am -  meet your guide at the ship.

5.45-6.15am - transfer to Moskovsky vokzal train station, board the train.

6.15-7.00am - transfer to Pulkovo I airport.

6.45am - departure to Moscow.

7.00-7.30am - check-in at the airport

10.30am - arrival at Leningradsky vokzal train station (city centre, see Moscow map).

8.00-9.15am - flight St.Petersburg-Moscow

10.30-11.00am - transfer to the Kremlin, lunch box is provided in the van.

9.30-11.00am - transfer to Moscow city center.

11.00-1.00pm - Tour of the Kremlin grounds, see the famous Spasskaya Tower with a huge bell that chimes Russia's standard time, visit inside the stunning Cathedral of Assumption where all Russian tsars' weddings and crowning ceremonies used to be held and where Russian patriarchs are buried, enter the Annunciation and Archangelsky cathedrals with a rich collection of old Russian frescoes and icons, view the giant bronze Tsar's Bell on Ivan's Square, which is the biggest bell in the world (432 000 pounds), see outside Great Kremlin palace (the residence of Romanov Tsars and Russia's presidents), walk on the glorious Red Square, approach Lenin's Mausoleum (Tomb) and St.Basil's cathedral that appears in all guidebooks about Russia.

2.00-4.30pm - Take a relaxing drive through the Moscow city, visit G.U.M. which is the most famous Moscow department store. You will next  see the famous Arbat street, drive to the Sparrow Hills (the highest point in Moscow) to see Moscow city panorama, pass by Moscow State University, the Church of Christ the Savior, Gorky Park, former KGB headquarters, take a Metro trip. Moscow Metro is sometimes called People's Palace for its beautiful underground architecture.

4.30-6.00pm - dinner at a Russian restaurant (extra 15-20 EUR per person).

7.00pm - Train departure to St.Petersburg

7.30-9.00pm - flight to St.Petersburg.

7.00-10.45pm - trip to St.Petersburg

9.00-10.00pm - transfer from the airport.

11.30pm - onboard the cruise ship.

Advantages of this option:

1). Your train will arrive in the city center. You start your tour right upon arrival instead of spending time on transfer from the airport.

2). You don't waste time on check-in at the airport.

3). The trains are more precise on the schedule. Air planes may be delayed due to weather conditions or shifts in the timetable.

Disadvantages of this option:

1). Longer transportation time (3 hours 45 minutes transportation time).

Advantages of this option:

1). Duration of flight is 1 hour 30 minutes.

2). Meals onboard.

1). You spend 1-1.30 hour on transfer to/from the airport.

2). Time for check-in. Registration finishes 30 minutes prior to departure.
